Education
Vermillion County includes two school corporations, North Vermillion School Corporation and South Vermillion School Corporation.
North Vermillion School Corporation has a combined campus of new, very modern buildings on the north end of the county. Quality academic programs and opportunities to participate in sports and extracurricular activities abound.
South Vermillion School Corporation also boasts a new high school and a new middle school, offering quality academic programs and sports programs as well as extra curricular activities. Three conveniently located elementary schools complete the South Vermillion School Corporation.
Many institutions of higher education are in close proximity to Vermillion County, including Indiana State University, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, and Ivy Tech State College, are within 15 miles south of Vermillion County; and Purdue University in Lafayette.
